Kaiser signs for 2 years with Blackhawks: Defensive reinforcement secured

CHICAGO – Defenseman Wyatt Kaiser has agreed to a two-year contract with the Chicago Blackhawks worth $3.4 million. This agreement allows the player to participate in team practices at the start of training camp.

The announcement was made by the Blackhawks on Wednesday night, just before the team took to the ice for their first practice on Thursday.

Kaiser, 23, set personal records last season, including four goals, 93 blocked shots, and 54 hits in 57 games. He also recorded four assists.

Selected by Chicago in the third round of the 2020 draft, Kaiser made his NHL debut with the Blackhawks in March 2023.

The player originally from Minnesota scored his first goal in the league on January 5 against the New York Rangers. In his career, Kaiser has four goals and 14 assists in 98 games.
