Mourinho in Talks to Manage Benfica

The renowned Portuguese coach, José Mourinho, is in negotiations to take over as manager of Benfica, according to sources close to him. This possibility arises after the dismissal of Bruno Lage by the club, following a defeat in the Champions League against Qarabag. Mourinho, who was recently fired from Fenerbahce in August, would be open to the idea of managing Benfica, although no agreement has yet been reached. The Portuguese coach, with vast experience in European football, could return to Portugal more than two decades after leaving to manage Chelsea in 2004.
