Manchester United, according to sources, maintains its confidence in Ruben Amorim despite the recent defeat against Manchester City in the derby. The club’s management is willing to give the coach more time to reverse the situation.
Amorim is facing increasing pressure after the result at the Etihad Stadium last Sunday. Since taking over in November, the Portuguese coach has only managed eight wins in 31 Premier League matches.
The 3-0 defeat to City also meant United’s worst start to a season in 33 years.
Despite these results, sources indicate that Amorim has the support of the club’s board for the time being. The 40-year-old coach is expected to be in charge of the team for the match against Chelsea at Old Trafford on Saturday.
