Joseph Parker Warns Fabio Wardley: “You’re Not on My Level”

Boxer Joseph Parker has issued a strong warning to Fabio Wardley ahead of their highly anticipated heavyweight clash on October 25th. The fight, which will take place at the O2 Arena in London, is crucial for both pugilists, as the winner could have the opportunity to face Oleksandr Usyk. The WBO and WBA interim titles will be at stake. Parker, current WBO interim champion, was scheduled to fight Usyk in July. However, Usyk received a 90-day medical exemption to fully recover after his knockout victory over Daniel Dubois.

Joseph Parker will fight Fabio Wardley on October 25th.This situation gives Usyk more time to decide his next move. The Ukrainian will have to choose between fighting the winner between Parker and Wardley or relinquishing the title. Parker, who has been waiting for a title opportunity after victories over Zhilei Zhang, Deontay Wilder, and Martin Bakole, expressed that Wardley lacks the necessary experience to beat him.

“Walking towards the fire? I love the fire. I’ve fought many boxers with big punches, and they’ve really been able to take me out of there,” Parker stated at a pre-fight press conference on Tuesday.

“There are levels. I think with the experience I have and what I’ve been working on in New Zealand, I’m excited to see what I can do in the ring. I’m a different boxer than the ones he’s faced before.” For his part, Wardley, WBA champion, is coming off an impressive knockout victory over Justis Huni in June. The boxer has called this fight a turning point in his career.

“Great moment, defining point [for me] probably. I am committed to that saying of only great fights. I haven’t come here to play or wait for things to be handed to me. I think I have met the right amount of achievements. I have enough experience to take me to a high-level fight,” Wardley stated.

“At this moment, our team is considering new opportunities and an exciting location to organize another fight for the undisputed world championship,” said Lapin.
