Logan O’Hoppe Enters Concussion List

The Los Angeles Angels have placed catcher Logan O’Hoppe on the seven-day concussion injured list after taking a hit to the head.

The incident occurred after Jacob Wilson hit O’Hoppe with his swing.

In addition, outfielder Jo Adell was removed from Monday’s starting lineup against Minnesota due to vertigo.

O’Hoppe was substituted in the seventh inning of Sunday’s game against the Athletics after being hit by Wilson.

To cover for O’Hoppe’s absence, the Angels called up catcher Sebastián Rivero from Triple-A Salt Lake, who made his debut with the team on Monday.

Adell also left Sunday’s game with what the team described as nausea, but was initially in Monday’s lineup before being scratched. The hitter was named American League Player of the Week on Monday, after hitting .407 with five home runs, 12 RBIs and a 1.000 slugging percentage.
