UFC 322: Two Stellar Super Fights in New York
The UFC company announces two stellar fights for its annual pay-per-view event in New York. Mixed martial arts (MMA) fans are preparing for a night full of action at Madison Square Garden on November 15th.
Former lightweight champion Islam Makhachev will seek to conquer a second title, this time against current welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena. Makhachev, with a record of 27-1, vacated the 155-pound title earlier this year, anticipating his move to welterweight. This move represents a significant challenge for the fighter, who will seek to emulate his mentor, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and become a champion in two different divisions.
Della Maddalena, for his part, comes to the fight with an impressive record of 18-2, without knowing defeat since 2016. The Australian conquered the UFC title after defeating Belal Muhammad by unanimous decision in May.Shevchenko vs. Weili: A Power-to-Power Duel
Zhang Weili, former strawweight champion, will also seek a new challenge by moving up to the flyweight division. Shevchenko, considered one of the most dominant fighters in UFC history, will defend her title against Weili.
