Daniel Robert to Injured List with Forearm Strain
Philadelphia Phillies reliever Daniel Robert was placed on the 15-day injured list due to a right forearm strain.
The official announcement was made on Wednesday, retroactive to Tuesday, prior to the game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
To cover the absence, the Phillies, leaders of the National League East Division, called up right-handed pitcher Max Lazar from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Robert, 31 years old, has an ERA of 4.15 in 15 games during the current season. He has managed to strike out 15 batters in 13 innings pitched, limiting opponents to a batting average of .224.
For his part, Lazar, 26, has a 1-1 record with an ERA of 4.78 in 28 appearances with Philadelphia. In addition, he has a 3-2 record and an ERA of 3.38 in 18 games with Lehigh Valley.
