UFC Confirms Event at the White House for 2026
UFC CEO Dana White announced that the live UFC event at the White House, scheduled for July 4, 2026, is a done deal. In a video posted on social media, White confirmed that UFC officials managed to finalize the details this Thursday. He promised more information about the event in the coming weeks. The idea of a UFC event on the White House grounds was first mentioned last month by former President Donald Trump, who suggested it would be part of a celebration of the country’s 250th anniversary. Trump maintains a close friendship with White and is a known UFC enthusiast. In the last month, White has largely avoided answering questions about potential fights for the event. Prominent figures in the sport, such as Conor McGregor and Jon Jones, have publicly expressed their interest in participating. However, when asked about Jones’ participation, White estimated the odds at “a billion to one”, due to his recent retirement and his history of problems outside the octagon.“It was a great day. I’m about to take off here from Washington, D.C. The fight at the White House is confirmed. I’ll have more details in the coming weeks. We did it today,” White stated in his video, recorded aboard a plane.
