My belief in them has never wavered. Our locker room, it would have been very easy to fall apart in June when things weren’t going well for anyone, not for individuals, not for the group, not for anyone. And that speaks to the kind of character we have and the ability to rise above the circumstances and have a mindset of solving things together.

The game marked the end of Wilson’s streak of 30-point games, who, nevertheless, achieved his 18th double-double of the season. From Phoenix, Alyssa Thomas recorded 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists, and Satou Sabally contributed 15 points. The game was marked by a solid defense from the Aces, limiting the Mercury to their season lows in points (61) and field goal percentage (31%).

We become a very dangerous group when we play defense that way.
