Napheesa Collier doubtful for Thursday’s game
Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier has been listed as questionable for Thursday’s game against the Atlanta Dream.
Collier has missed the last five games due to an ankle injury. In her absence, the Lynx have achieved a 4-1 record.
The player suffered the injury in the August 2nd game against the Las Vegas Aces, when she awkwardly fell on her right foot in the final seconds of the third quarter.
After an MRI, it was determined that she had avoided a serious injury and was diagnosed with a sprained ankle. A reevaluation was expected two weeks later, which occurred on Monday.
Before the injury, Collier had established herself as a leading MVP candidate, leading the league in scoring with 23.5 points per game, along with 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.6 blocks.
The Lynx have 10 games remaining on their regular season schedule, including Thursday’s game in Atlanta.
