Zack Wheeler to the Injured List with Blood Clot
Philadelphia Phillies star pitcher Zack Wheeler has been placed on the 15-day injured list due to a blood clot near his right shoulder, the team announced Saturday.
The date of his return to the field is still uncertain.
Wheeler, 35, has a 10-5 record with an ERA of 2.71 this season. In addition, he leads the Major Leagues in strikeouts, with a total of 195.
