Louis Rees-Zammit has confirmed his return to rugby after his time in American football, by signing with the Bristol Bears. The 24-year-old player, who has been selected 32 times for Wales, announced in January 2024 that he was leaving rugby to join the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program. Initially, he signed with the Kansas City Chiefs and then with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but he did not manage to stand out in either of the teams, so he chose to return to his roots.

Rees-Zammit stated on the club’s website: “I want to get the fans off their seats, create exciting moments and help people fall in love with the game. I’m excited to return to rugby at a club that demands those values.”Bristol Bears was the obvious choice for me.
