Ryker Evans Extends Contract with the Kraken
Seattle Kraken defenseman Ryker Evans has agreed to a two-year contract extension, with an average annual value of $2.05 million, extending through the 2026-27 season. Evans, 23, accumulated 25 points, with five goals and 20 assists, in 73 games during his first full season with the Kraken. Selected in the second round of the 2021 draft, Evans debuted in the NHL on December 7, 2023.The defenseman, who is 6 feet and 195 pounds, has 34 points in 109 NHL games. He also made his international debut with Team Canada at this year’s world hockey championship, where he recorded two assists in eight games.“Ryker took a positive step in his first full season in the NHL,” stated General Manager Jason Botterill. “Since turning pro, he has shown improvement year after year, and we are confident that he will take his game to another level next season. We are pleased to have him under contract.”
