Eagles’ Landon Dickerson Could Be Out With Injury
The Philadelphia Eagles’ star guard, Landon Dickerson, is facing a possible injury that could sideline him. Sources close to the team suggest that Dickerson suffered a meniscus injury in his right knee.
Currently, Dickerson is seeking second medical opinions to determine the severity of the injury and the estimated recovery time.
The injury occurred during the team’s open practice on Sunday night at Lincoln Financial Field. Dickerson had to be helped off the field and was transported in a cart.
The situation arose on a passing play, where Jalen Hurts connected with Saquon Barkley on the opposite side of the field. The crowd, estimated at 50,000 people, fell silent as Dickerson remained on the ground. Finally, he was helped off the field, unable to put much weight on his right leg.
Brett Toth has been filling in for Dickerson at the left guard position during the summer, on the days when Dickerson has had limited participation in training.
Dickerson, 26, is a key player on one of the league’s best offensive lines. He played a crucial role in Barkley’s 2024 season, where the running back amassed 2,504 yards, including the playoffs.
Since 2022, Dickerson is one of five guards who have been selected for the Pro Bowl each year, along with Joel Bitonio of the Cleveland Browns, Chris Lindstrom of the Atlanta Falcons, Quenton Nelson of the Indianapolis Colts, and Joe Thuney of the Chicago Bears.
