Landon Dickerson Leaves Practice with Injury
In a concerning turn of events during Sunday night’s open practice, Eagles left guard Landon Dickerson was taken off the field and transported on a cart due to an apparent right leg injury.
The incident occurred at the end of the more than two-hour training session at Lincoln Financial Field.
Dickerson fell to the ground during a passing play, in which Jalen Hurts connected with Saquon Barkley on the opposite side of the field.
The silence descended upon the approximately 50,000 spectators present as Dickerson remained on the ground, surrounded by his teammates. Finally, he was helped off the field, visibly unable to bear weight on his right leg, and then transported on a cart.
Brett Toth replaced him in the lineup.
Dickerson had appeared on Saturday’s injury report due to a knee injury and participated in a limited capacity. However, he was not included on Sunday’s injury report.
Dickerson, 26, is a key player on one of the league’s best offensive lines. He played a fundamental role in Barkley’s successful 2024 season, where the running back accumulated 2,504 rushing yards, including the playoffs.
Dickerson is one of five guards who have been selected for the Pro Bowl every year since 2022, along with Joel Bitonio of the Browns, Chris Lindstrom of the Falcons, Quenton Nelson of the Colts, and Joe Thuney of the Bears.
