Baltimore Orioles Roster Moves
The Baltimore Orioles made significant moves to their roster before Friday night’s game against the Athletics, including activating Ryan Mountcastle from the injured list.
Mountcastle returns to the team after overcoming a hamstring injury that kept him out of action since May 30. Before his injury, the infielder was batting .246 with two home runs in 52 games.
Additionally, the Orioles placed outfielders Colton Cowser and Tyler O’Neill on the injured list.
Cowser was placed on the seven-day concussion list, retroactive to Thursday. For his part, O’Neill was placed on the 10-day injured list due to inflammation in his right wrist, retroactive to Wednesday.
In other moves, the Orioles signed outfielder Greg Allen to a major league contract for the 2025 season and called up outfielder Jordyn Adams from Triple-A Norfolk.
Allen, who last played in the Major Leagues with the New York Yankees in 2023, joins the team hoping to bring his experience.
