Benjamin Sesko, the new offensive signing for Manchester United.
Manchester United has finalized an agreement with RB Leipzig to secure the services of forward Benjamin Sesko, according to sources close to the club.
The transfer of the Slovenian international is estimated at around 85 million euros (approximately 98.8 million pounds), including variables.
The United beat out competition from Newcastle United, who also showed interest in the player.
Sources reveal that, despite Newcastle’s offers for the 22-year-old footballer, Sesko’s priority was to join the ‘Red Devils’ at Old Trafford.
Sesko becomes the third notable signing for United in this market, following the incorporations of Matheus Cunha, from Wolves, and Bryan Mbeumo, from Brentford.
This acquisition raises the club’s spending on signings to around 200 million pounds.
