Epic Rematch! Eubank Jr. vs. Benn II at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

The expected rematch between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn is confirmed for November 15th at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, United Kingdom. The announcement was made by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority and of the Saudi Boxing Federation.

The first clash between Eubank Jr. and Benn, which drew a crowd of 67,484 spectators, took place on April 26th. Eubank Jr. prevailed on points in an exciting battle, with all three judges awarding him a score of 116-111. Benn, who moved up from 147 to 160 pounds to challenge Eubank Jr., suffered the first defeat of his career despite feeling he had done enough to win.

A highlight before the fight was Eubank Jr.’s entrance into the stadium with his father, with whom he has had a tense relationship for a long time. In a fight full of action, Eubank Jr. was seriously affected by Benn in the eighth round, but managed to recover and take control to keep the family legacy undefeated against the Benns. The family rivalry dates back more than 35 years, when the fathers of both boxers, Chris Eubank Sr. and Nigel Benn, faced each other in a middleweight fight on November 18, 1990. Eubank Sr. won the WBO middleweight title by technical knockout in the ninth round. The intense rivalry between the fathers continued in their rematch in 1993, which ended in a split draw. Now, the sons will continue the dispute, seeking to write a new chapter in this pugilistic saga. The Benn family will seek their first victory in this historic rivalry.

The fight, promoted by Sela, is expected to be fought at 160 pounds.
