Browns Bolster Quarterback Position with Huntley Addition

The Cleveland Browns have secured the services of quarterback Tyler “Snoop” Huntley, according to sources close to the team. This addition seeks to strengthen the quarterback position in the face of recent injuries that have affected several key players. Currently, the Browns are in the midst of a quarterback competition between Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders. However, the situation has been complicated due to injuries. Pickett has not been able to fully participate in training since suffering a hamstring injury on July 26. Gabriel has also been limited due to hamstring discomfort. Sanders, for his part, missed some practices due to arm discomfort, but has now returned to full activity. The Browns are holding joint practices in Charlotte with the Carolina Panthers this Wednesday, in preparation for their first preseason game on Friday. Coach Kevin Stefanski reported on Monday that the team is finalizing plans for both joint practices and the start of the preseason. Huntley, 27, already had a brief stint with the Browns during last year’s training camp. He was one of four quarterbacks who initially made the 53-man roster, but was released after the cut deadline, after a trade did not materialize. Subsequently, Huntley signed with the Miami Dolphins, where he had a 2-3 record in five starts.
