Trinidad and Tobago – Moca FC has marked a significant milestone in its footballing journey by securing its place in the final of the CFU Club Shield 2025. The team achieved this feat after an exciting 5-4 penalty shootout victory against Academy Eagles at the Ato Boldon Stadium.
This triumph not only guarantees them a place in the final, but also ensures their participation in the Concacaf Caribbean Club Shield.
A Heart-Stopping Match
The match was an intense battle, with no goals during regulation time. Both teams generated clear opportunities, but the goalkeepers demonstrated their worth, keeping their goals undefeated.
The definition from the penalty spot was a display of composure by Moca FC, who converted all five shots with millimeter precision. Eduard Puga, Richard Dabas, Keudy Jiménez and José Francisco scored before Ronaldo de Peña sealed the pass to the final with an unstoppable shot for goalkeeper Sebastián Turbyfield.
Moca FC started the match with great impetus, and almost scored in the 2nd minute with a shot by Yohan Parra that hit the post. Academy Eagles responded with a solid defense, backed by the outstanding performance of their goalkeeper Turbyfield, who frustrated the attempts of Valentin Sabella (26’) and Sergio Ventura (39’).
