Devon Levi Signs Contract with the Sabres
Restricted free agent goaltender Devon Levi has agreed to a two-year contract with the Buffalo Sabres, as announced on Thursday. The contract is worth $1.625 million.
In the past season, Levi, 23 years old, recorded a 2-7-0 record with a 4.12 goals-against average and a .872 save percentage in nine appearances (eight as a starter) with the Sabres.
His performance was notably superior with the Rochester team of the American Hockey League. There, Levi accumulated a record of 25-13-4, with an average of 2.20 goals against and a save percentage of .919 in 42 games with the Americans.
Levi was acquired by Buffalo via a first-round pick in the trade involving Sam Reinhart on July 24, 2021. In his career with the Florida Panthers and the Sabres, Levi has a record of 17-17-2, with a 3.29 goals-against average and a .894 save percentage in 39 games (36 as a starter).
