Barcelona Women’s Team to Face Liga MX Femenil Stars in an Epic Clash

The Barcelona Femenino, current champion of Spain, will face the most outstanding players of the Liga MX Femenil in the first “Duelo de Estrellas”. This exciting match will take place in Monterrey next month, according to the Mexican league announced on Monday. The exhibition match is scheduled for August 22 at the Estadio Universitario, located in the capital of the state of Nuevo León. The event will bring together the soccer players from the 18 teams of the Liga MX Femenil, who will face the Catalan team, three-time champion of the Women’s Champions League.

The Star Duel is a key step in the growth of the Liga MX Femenil.

The league highlighted in a statement that this event seeks to “focus on the talent of our players, recognizing their impact on and off the field”.

• The players were selected based on their performance throughout the season.
• A Scoring Index will be used for the selection.
• The fans will choose three players.
• Two “surprise” selections will be added.

Barcelona will also play against Club América, runner-up of Mexico, in Mexico City on August 24, as part of their preseason. The Spanish team prepares for its debut in the Liga F against Alhama CF on August 31.
