Seattle Mariners Promote Brandyn Garcia and Send Juan Burgos to Triple-A

The Seattle Mariners have made important decisions on their roster, selecting the contract of left-handed pitcher Brandyn Garcia from Triple-A Tacoma. The news was announced on Monday, accompanied by the move to send right-handed pitcher Juan Burgos to the same league. Garcia’s next appearance in a Mariners uniform will mark his debut in the Major Leagues. He was selected in the eleventh round of the 2023 draft by Seattle. Previously, Garcia was promoted from Double-A Arkansas to Tacoma this season. His performance has been notable, with a 1-0 record and an impressive 2.16 ERA in 8 1/3 innings during eight relief appearances. The organization considers him the top left-handed pitching prospect. Burgos, 25 years old, made his MLB debut on July 1 against the Kansas City Royals. In four games with the Mariners, he allowed three earned runs in 6 2/3 innings, recording an ERA of 4.05.
