Hole-in-one at the Open Championship!

The Open Championship at Royal Portrush already has its first hole-in-one, made by English golfer John Parry. Parry’s tee shot on the 13th hole, 192 yards, landed on the front of the green, took a couple of bounces and went straight into the cup. There were great celebrations on the tee, with Parry being congratulated by his playing partner, Justin Leonard, 1997 Open champion.

The hole-in-one brought Parry to 4 under par for his round and 3 under par for the tournament. This is Parry’s second appearance, aged 38, at the Open, after St. Andrews in 2022.
