Lennox Lewis: Fury and Joshua have an outstanding fight with the British public
Boxing legend Lennox Lewis has expressed his opinion on the expected fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. Lewis, the last undisputed British heavyweight champion, believes that these two great boxers owe a fight to the UK public. The possibility of a Fury vs. Joshua fight has been a topic of conversation on multiple occasions, but so far, the fight has not materialized.Following Fury’s recent defeats to Oleksandr Usyk and Joshua’s loss to Daniel Dubois, it seemed the door was opening for a fight between them this year, with no titles at stake. However, Fury announced his retirement in January, which cooled expectations.

Although Fury is expected to be present at the undisputed title fight between Usyk and Daniel Dubois, it is unknown if Joshua will attend. Lewis also commented that Joshua should attend major events to stay in the conversation. “I think it’s a missed opportunity for him. I think he should show up if he wants that fight and if he still feels he has what it takes.” Lewis concluded that the fight against Fury would be a good match for Joshua.“Yes, we need to see that fight. I think they owe it to the British public”.
