Benn vs Eubank Jr.: Boxing Rematch at Risk, Is the Fight Off?
Conor Benn has revealed that the expected rematch against Chris Eubank Jr. is “falling apart.” However, he has not offered specific details about the reasons behind this situation. The second fight between both boxers was scheduled for September 20 in London, at a venue yet to be confirmed. This, after their first encounter in April at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Both pugilists signed an agreement for two fights before their first bout. Although Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority and owner of Ring Magazine, announced the date of the rematch, neither Eubank Jr. nor his promoter BOXXER have issued comments on the matter.

Conor Benn’s Statement to Ring Magazine:

Benn, who declared himself ready for the September 20th date, stated that the current situation did not depend on him. “This rematch that is falling through has nothing to do with me,” Benn declared. “I was ready for the scheduled date of September 20th. I’m not sure what happened to Chris Eubank.” BOXXER, for its part, has not issued comments when contacted.
