Violent day in Gaza: New deaths and injuries reported following Israeli attacks

Tension in the Gaza Strip remains at critical levels following a series of military operations recorded in the last few hours. According to the most recent reports, Israeli forces carried out incursions that left a tragic toll in both the north and south of the Palestinian enclave.

In the Jabalia sector, located in the north of the Strip, a man lost his life after being directly shot by Israeli troops. This incident adds to an aerial offensive using drones in the Mawasi area, near Khan Yunis, where several civilians were injured, including a minor who was in the area during the attack.

Impact in central Gaza

The instability spread during Friday night to the town of Zawaida, in the center of the territory. At this location, an airstrike caused the death of one man and left several people with injuries of varying severity. So far, the Israeli military command has not issued an official position on these recent events.

Despite the truce in effect for nearly a year, daily attacks continue to claim lives in Gaza. Operations often target specific objectives using drones, frequently affecting the civilian population, including women and children, or residents who approach military deployment zones.

Victim toll under the offensive

The humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate under a context of prolonged conflict. According to figures provided by the Gazan Ministry of Health, the total number of fatalities since the start of hostilities in October 2023 amounts to 73,928 people. Of this total, at least 1,408 deaths have been recorded since the current ceasefire was implemented, a figure that does not include deaths that occurred in the last 48 hours.
