Mets: Manaea Returns From Injured List, Bolsters Rotation

The New York Mets activated Sean Manaea from the 60-day injured list on Sunday, making him available from the bullpen for his first MLB season action against the Kansas City Royals.

The 33-year-old left-handed pitcher, who had been out with elbow and oblique injuries, had an ERA of 4.00 in two rehabilitation appearances with Triple-A Syracuse, allowing six hits and four runs in nine innings.

In his most recent rehab appearance, Manaea threw 73 pitches in 3 2/3 innings on Tuesday.

Manaea, who went 12-6 with a 3.47 ERA in 32 appearances, all starts, for the Mets in 2024, is expected to return to the starting rotation after the All-Star break.
