Man captured after stealing more than 200 pieces of industrial equipment in Santiago
National Police agents managed to capture in flagrante delicto a Haitian citizen, linked to the theft of more than 200 industrial pieces of equipment at a commercial company located in the Ensanche Espaillat, Santiago de los Caballeros. The detainee has been identified as Jaison Jeudy, 28 years old.
The operation, carried out in the afternoon, was led by the Property Crimes Investigation Unit in conjunction with members of the Preventive Police. According to official reports, the individual is accused of stealing a lot consisting of 33 fabric cutting machines and 176 motors intended for industrial sewing machinery.
Merchandise recovery
After undergoing an interrogation process, Jeudy collaborated with the authorities by pointing out the locations where he kept the stolen items hidden. Thanks to this information, law enforcement carried out a tactical deployment at a residence and a sewing workshop, managing to recover 20 boxes containing a large part of the stolen equipment.

- The detainee will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office to face the corresponding legal actions.
