Villa Riva teachers mobilize to demand improvements for the education sector
The Villa Riva branch of the Dominican Association of Teachers (ADP) held a candlelight vigil this Monday, joining the national day of struggle that seeks urgent demands for the Dominican educational system. The activity, carried out peacefully, served as a stage for local teachers to highlight the precarious conditions they face daily in the classrooms.
The demonstration brought together a significant group of educators and members of the educational community, who made a direct appeal to the competent authorities. The teachers are demanding concrete solutions that will allow for the optimization of both the working conditions of the staff and the infrastructure and general functioning of the schools in the municipality.
