Gigantes del Cibao strengthen their rotation with pitcher Jackson Goddard
The management of the Gigantes del Cibao continues to work hard on structuring their team for the upcoming 2026-27 season of the Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM). On this occasion, the team from San Francisco de Macorís has confirmed the addition of American right-handed pitcher Jackson Goddard as their new imported player.
Goddard, 29, arrives at Julián Javier Stadium with an outstanding track record in both the Minor Leagues and Mexican baseball, providing the necessary depth to strengthen the team’s starting rotation. His recent experience in the Mexican Baseball League positions him as a reliable arm for the demanding Dominican winter league.
Jackson Goddard’s career and statistics
The right-hander comes from performing outstanding work with the Acereros de Monclova during the recent 2026 season. His numbers reflect his ability to stay on the mound:
- 4-2 record with a 4.20 ERA in 17 starts.
- Accumulated 83.2 innings pitched, allowing 79 hits.
- Managed to record 75 strikeouts, demonstrating his ability to retire batters.
It is worth noting that, during his brief stint in Monclova in 2025, the pitcher showed superior command by recording a 2-0 record and a 1.56 ERA, with 19 strikeouts in just 17.1 innings of work.
Goddard’s arrival is a strategic bet to consolidate our rotation. His ability to work as a starter and his experience in high-level leagues will be fundamental to our championship aspirations.
