Mother reports retaliation and attacks against her family following her son’s court case
Melania Rosa has raised her voice to denounce a series of attacks and reprisals that, according to her, her family environment has suffered since her son was linked to a judicial process for a murder that occurred last year. The woman maintains that her relatives are unrelated to the events that keep her son in prison and demands an urgent intervention from the authorities to guarantee their safety.
Assaults within the prison system
During an interview, Rosa reported with concern that her son has been the victim of two physical assaults while being held at the La Victoria and Najayo penitentiary centers. As a result of these altercations, the young man has significant injuries, including a head wound and damage to one of his hands. Given this situation, the mother is requesting her son’s transfer to a specialized medical center to receive proper care, as well as a thorough investigation into the incidents within the prisons.
My mom is not to blame for that problem. My mom has no home now.

Homes destroyed by fires
The family’s situation has reached critical levels following the fire of two homes linked to their inner circle. Melania Rosa detailed that her own house and her mother’s were reduced to ashes, leaving her mother in a state of extreme vulnerability. Faced with constant fear for their physical safety, the family made the difficult decision to leave their community to prevent the conflict from escalating.
Call to the authorities
Despite having gone to various government institutions in search of answers, Rosa claims that she has not obtained concrete results regarding the investigations into either the attacks against her son or the arson attacks. For this reason, she makes a desperate appeal to the competent authorities to take on the case, thoroughly investigate the complaints, and provide the necessary support to a family that, as she asserts, only seeks to live in peace after moving away from the area where they previously resided.
The complainant emphasized that her family has no responsibility for the crime charged to her son and reiterated that leaving their home was a preventive measure to avoid further confrontations, now hoping that the State will act to protect their fundamental rights.
