Washington Nationals Make Moves on Their Roster

The Washington Nationals have made significant adjustments to their roster, announcing the inclusion of right-handed pitcher Trevor Williams on the 15-day injured list due to a sprain in his right elbow. The team has also activated catcher Keibert Ruiz, who was removed from the seven-day concussion list. In addition, right-handed pitcher Ryan Loutos was called up from Triple-A Rochester, while catcher Drew Millas was optioned to Rochester. Trevor Williams, 33, had a rough outing on Wednesday, allowing seven runs in three innings during an 11-2 loss to the Detroit Tigers. So far this season, Williams is 3-10 with a 6.21 ERA in 17 starts. Keibert Ruiz, 26 years old, suffered a head injury from a foul ball while in the dugout during the 10-6 victory against the San Diego Padres on June 23. In 66 games this season, Ruiz is batting .247 with two home runs and 24 RBIs. Ryan Loutos, also 26 years old, has a 1-0 record with an ERA of 13.50 in six relief appearances this year between the Nationals and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Washington claimed him on June 10. Millas, 27 years old, has participated in three games with the Nationals, with a batting average of 1-7 with a double and one RBI.
