Brad Pitt and His Passion for Formula 1: A Future on the Tracks?

The Formula 1 movie starring Brad Pitt is breaking box office records worldwide. But the famous Hollywood actor is not done with Formula 1 or the world of racing. Just like his character Sonny Hayes on the big screen, Pitt has been offered a second chance to put on the racing suit and reach 200 mph.

He has a standing offer to “go out and play”.

Zak Brown, McLaren F1 CEO, revealed that Pitt has an offer to participate in races. Brown hopes that the 61-year-old actor not only accepts the proposal, but also deepens his passion for motorsport. Pitt drove an F1 car for the first time with McLaren at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin last month, after having driven F2 cars disguised as F1 for the film. Since then, he has expressed his enthusiasm for the experience.

At the premiere in New York, Pitt commented that he was three miles per hour away from reaching 200 mph and expressed his desire to try again. Brown indicated that it would be possible to organize his return. “He did a great job, he knows how to drive a race car,” Brown stated during a McLaren event in Trafalgar Square in London, where drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris were present. Brown added that Pitt was very interested in learning and understanding his driving data. “I wouldn’t be surprised if one day you saw Brad Pitt competing in some kind of sports car,” he concluded.
