Jhon Arias deploys humanitarian aid after earthquake in Chocó

Colombian soccer player Jhon Arias has demonstrated his social commitment by arranging the shipment of an aircraft loaded with medical supplies and healthcare personnel to Quibdó, his hometown. This initiative seeks to provide immediate assistance to the communities affected by the recent earthquake that shook the Chocó department, the epicenter of the national emergency.

The midfielder, recognized for his performance in Brazilian soccer and on the national team, coordinated this action together with his wife, Alejandra Ayala, who is also a native of the impacted region. Both expressed their deep concern over the destruction of homes and the difficult situation facing hundreds of Colombian families following the 7.4 magnitude earthquake, which was recorded with its epicenter in San José del Palmar.

We are available to provide the greatest help within our reach. We call for unity and solidarity from all Colombians in the face of these difficult circumstances that our people in Chocó are going through.

Concrete actions for reconstruction

Beyond the aerial logistical deployment, the couple has implemented mechanisms to channel support from the citizenry. With the goal of joining efforts, they have enabled bank accounts in both Colombia and Brazil, thus facilitating the collection of funds destined for the recovery of the areas hardest hit by the catastrophe.

Arias, who remains attentive to the evolution of the situation in the center and west of the country, urged his followers and the public to maintain active solidarity. The athlete stressed the importance of collective collaboration to overcome the structural and human damage left by the natural disaster in the Chocó region.
