Patrick Reed Leads LIV Golf Dallas with a Solid Round
Golfer Patrick Reed positions himself at the top of LIV Golf Dallas after a standout performance on Saturday, where he signed a card of 68 strokes, four under par. Reed is seeking his first victory on the circuit financed by Saudi Arabia.
After sharing the lead in the first round with his 4Aces teammate, Harold Varner III, Reed demonstrated his skill with six birdies and two bogeys, reaching a total of 9 under par, with a cumulative score of 135 strokes at Maridoe Golf Club.
The 34-year-old golfer, winner of the Masters in 2018 and with nine PGA Tour victories, is in an advantageous position to win the title.
Paul Casey and Abraham Ancer share second place, while Varner III, Tyrrell Hatton, Richard Bland, and David Puig are tied for third.
Bryson DeChambeau had a second consecutive round with 72 strokes. The 4Aces team leads the team competition with a four-stroke lead.
Brooks Koepka, who withdrew on Friday due to illness, did not participate on Saturday. Koepka was replaced by Luis Carrera for the remainder of the first round.
