Caitlin Clark, star of the Indiana Fever, will miss Thursday night’s game against the Los Angeles Sparks due to a left groin injury, the team announced.

A little over a week ago, Clark returned after a left quadriceps injury that kept her out for five games. Since her return, she has averaged 17.8 points in five games, including an outstanding performance of 32 points in her first game against the New York Liberty, handing the current champions their first defeat of the season.

The Fever achieved a 3-2 record without Clark between May 28 and June 10.

Clark also missed Indiana’s first preseason game on May 3 due to a left leg issue. When Clark injured her quadriceps, Fever coach Stephanie White said it was unrelated to her preseason injury. It is unclear if this groin injury is related and if she could miss an extended period of time.

In the nine games he has played this season, Clark averages 18.2 points with 39% field goal efficiency, including 29.5% from the three-point line, 8.9 assists and 5.6 rebounds per game.
