Celtics Send Jrue Holiday to Portland in a Trade
The Boston Celtics have finalized a trade involving Jrue Holiday, sending him to the Portland Trail Blazers. In return, the Celtics will receive Anfernee Simons and two second-round draft picks, according to sources close to the situation.
Portland moved with determination to reacquire Holiday, who originally came to the franchise from the Milwaukee Bucks as part of the Damian Lillard trade in 2023. Subsequently, Holiday was traded to Boston in a deal that gave the Blazers two first-round picks.
Simons, who arrives in Boston, is on an expiring contract.
