Ring Domination: Boxing Rankings Update

In the world of boxing, rankings are a reflection of the dedication and performance of the athletes. Alofoke Deportes presents an update of the classifications by division, highlighting the most outstanding boxers and recent changes in the sports landscape. Richardson Hitchins solidified his position as one of the best in the super lightweight division, following his victory over George Kambosos Jr. in the eighth round. With this triumph, Hitchins remains firm in the rankings. After his victory, Hitchins and Teofimo López hinted at a possible unification fight in the future. In another outstanding performance, Andy Cruz reaffirmed his position in the lightweight division with a resounding victory over Hironori Mishiro. Cruz, a 2020 Olympic gold medalist, seeks to secure a world title in less than 10 professional fights. The former super flyweight world champion, Juan Francisco Estrada, debuted in the bantamweight division with a victory over Karim Arce Lugo, securing a place in the ranking of his new category. For his part, Nonito Donaire also returned to the bantamweight division with a technical decision over Andres Campos, obtaining the opportunity to fight against the winner of the match between Antonio Vargas and Daigo Higa. Boxing rankings by division highlight the best athletes in each weight category. Changes in the rankings are based on recent results and performances. Boxers who have announced their change of weight category will be classified in their new division, once they have competed in it. Boxers who hold titles in two divisions may be classified in both. Boxers who have not competed in the last 12 months, and who do not have a scheduled fight, will be removed from the rankings until they fight again. Any boxer who tests positive for a performance-enhancing substance will also be removed. To get a list of the current champions in all weight categories, see the champions section.

The following are the updated rankings by division:
