Groups Defined for the U12 National Championship “Robinson Canó Cup” 2026
The Dominican Baseball Federation (Fedom) has announced the formation of the groups for the 7th National U12 Championship “Robinson Canó Cup” 2026. This tournament, which promises to be a showcase of young talent, will take place from June 10 to 14 at the IPL Academy facilities, located in El Toro de Guerra.
The competition will feature the participation of eight teams, all of which qualified after overcoming the national qualifiers. This event will bring together the most outstanding players of Dominican youth baseball, born in the years 2014 and 2015.Composition of the Groups
The Group A will be made up of the provinces of Peravia, Valverde, Duarte and Santo Domingo, which currently holds the title of national two-time champion.
In Group B, the teams from Santiago, Distrito Nacional, Bahoruco, and San Pedro de Macorís will compete.
The IPL Academy, recognized as the home of the national baseball teams for several years, will once again be the venue for this important event organized by Fedom.
The championship matches will be broadcast nationwide through the signal of Grupo de Medios Panorama.
This tournament will serve as a platform for the selection of the players who will make up the U12 national team that will represent the Dominican Republic in the next U-12 Pan American Championship of WBSC Americas, whose date and venue are yet to be confirmed.
The U12 National Championship Robinson Canó Cup has established itself as a key event for the development and projection of future Dominican baseball prospects.
