La Romana – In an exciting encounter of the Super Liga LNB, the Cañeros del Este defeated the Titanes del Sur with a final score of 102-96 at the Eleoncio Mercedes sports complex. Yeison Colomé led the Cañeros’ offense with an outstanding performance.
Colomé, with an impressive 64% field goal percentage and 43% from three-pointers, scored 34 points and 6 assists, contributing significantly to the seventh victory of the season for the Cañeros.
Despite the triumph, the Cañeros failed to win the particular series against the Titans, who defeated them on May 20th.
Lazar Lugic contributed a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Luixander Blanco added 11 points and 4 assists for the Cañeros.

By the Titans, Tyree White and Randy Bautista scored 17 points each. Jonathan Araujo achieved a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds.
The first half favored the Cañeros with a score of 29-24, thanks to Colomé’s 11 points and Lugic’s 8.
In the second quarter, the Titans overcame a deficit, but the Sugar Cane Growers regained control, closing the first half with a 56-53 lead.

Blanco extended the Cañeros’ lead to 12 points, but the Titans got closer. However, the Cañeros maintained their advantage, securing the victory.
The Titans’ defensive pressure intensified in the final minutes, but the Cañeros, with free throws, managed to maintain the lead and secure the victory.
