Moca Heroes Defeat Reales de La Vega in Thrilling Duel
Santo Domingo – Los Héroes de Moca achieved an important victory over the Reales de La Vega with a final score of 75-70 at the Moca 85 sports complex. This triumph improves their record to 7-6 in the LNB Super League, ending a streak of two consecutive losses.
Kam’ron Blue led the offense in his debut, scoring 18 points. Eloy Vargas also had an outstanding performance with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocks. Kevin Obanor contributed 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Jaison Valdez added 11 units and nine assists.
For the Royals, Malachi Richardson was the top scorer with 20 points, followed by Alanzo Frink and Ramón Galloway, who contributed 10 points each.
The Heroes controlled much of the game and resisted the Royals’ comeback attempt in the final quarter, thanks to a solid defense led by Vargas. The Mocanos limited the Royals to 36% field goal shooting, tying the regular season series 1-1.
Fitzgerald Drives Giants to Victory Over Suns
Gigantes Basketball Club defeated Soles del Este with a score of 97-93 in San Pedro de Macorís, thanks to an impressive offensive performance by Francis King Fitzgerald, who scored 41 points.
With this victory, the Giants improved their record to 12-2, solidifying themselves as leaders of the LNB Super League. On the other hand, the Suns remain in last position with a record of 2-12.
Fitzgerald, in addition to his 41 points, grabbed six rebounds and was crucial in the final minutes, along with Miguel Miranda, who contributed 15 points. Jeankarlo Iciano added 12 units for the Giants.
Bradley Ezewiro led the Suns with 20 points and seven assists, while Dimas Carrasco achieved a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
The match was very close, and the Giants secured the victory with better offensive execution in the decisive moments of the game.
