Hunter Dobbins to the Red Sox Injured List
SAN FRANCISCO – Right-handed pitcher Hunter Dobbins was placed on the 15-day injured list by the Boston Red Sox due to a strain in his throwing elbow.
The measure for Dobbins is retroactive to Saturday.
So far this year, Dobbins has a 4-1 record with an ERA of 4.10 in 12 appearances, including 10 starts. His last outing was on Friday in the first game of the series against San Francisco, where he gave up five walks and allowed four earned runs in four innings.
To take his place on the roster, Boston called up right-handed pitcher Richard Fitts from Triple-A Worcester.
