Araujo and Reyes lead Titans’ victory over Royals in an exciting duel

SAN CRISTÓBAL.- In an exciting match held at the San Cristóbal sports complex, the Southern Titans achieved a crucial victory over the Reales de La Vega with a final score of 87-83. The game, marked by intensity and the outstanding performance of several players, kept the fans on the edge of their seats.

Despite the issues of personal fouls that affected Romeau Ferguson, Jonathan Araujo and Xavier Reyes emerged as the key figures for the Titans. Araujo contributed 17 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Reyes, coming off the bench, added 16 points and 5 rebounds, thus securing the fourth victory of the season for his team.

In addition to Araujo and Reyes, other Titans players also left their mark on the game. Ferguson contributed 15 points, Dana Tate Jr. scored 13, and Shaun Williams added 12.

On the Royals’ side, Sekou Sylla led the offense with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Anphernee Acevedo contributed 11 points, while Anderson Mirambeaux and Alanzo Frink scored 10 points each.

The third quarter saw Reyes hit a crucial three-pointer that put the Titans up by 10 points (61-51). Although the Royals attempted a comeback in the final minutes, the Titans managed to maintain the lead thanks to the accuracy of Reyes and Araújo.

In the final minutes, Anphernee Acevedo brought the Reales within 7 points (81-74), and Randy Santos reduced the difference to 2 points (83-81). However, Reyes responded with a key basket, and Araujo sealed the victory with two free throws.
