Aaron Judge and Other Stars Shine in MLB

Monday’s MLB games were packed with action, featuring outstanding offensive performances, solid pitching displays, and emotional moments. Aaron Judge led the New York Yankees in a memorable night, while other figures also left their mark on the diamond.

In New York, Judge hit his 14th home run of the season, propelling the Yankees to a 12-1 victory over the Baltimore Orioles, completing a four-game sweep. The triumph held special significance by paying tribute to the late announcer John Sterling. Starting pitcher Cam Schlittler delivered a solid performance, and the team’s offense exploded in the final innings.

In Chicago, the Chicago Cubs prevailed thanks to a home run by Michael Conforto as a pinch hitter, defeating the Cincinnati Reds 5-4. This victory extended their home winning streak to 12 consecutive games, solidifying one of the best home streaks in franchise history.

In Houston, Japanese pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto shone by striking out eight batters in six innings, guiding the Los Angeles Dodgers to an 8-3 victory over the Houston Astros. After a complicated start, the right-hander found his rhythm and dominated one of the most dangerous offenses in the American League.

In Miami, Aaron Nola pitched six scoreless innings to lead the Philadelphia Phillies to a 1-0 victory over the Miami Marlins, in a pitching duel where Bryce Harper’s solo home run also stood out. The Phillies continue to rise under the interim command of Don Mattingly.

On the other hand, in Anaheim, the Japanese Munetaka Murakami hit an impressive 429-foot home run, leading the Chicago White Sox to a 6-0 victory over the Los Angeles Angels. Starting pitcher Davis Martin completed an excellent performance with 10 strikeouts in seven innings.

The day also reaffirmed the good moment of several stars in the race for the Most Valuable Player. In the American League, Judge shares the spotlight with Yordan Álvarez, while in the National League, Shohei Ohtani remains the main candidate, closely followed by the Dominican Elly De La Cruz.

The day left a combination of offensive power, dominance from the mound, and decisive performances that continue to shape a vibrant 2026 season in the Major Leagues.
