Santo Domingo.- The Commission designated by the Dominican Olympic Committee (COD) has formally delivered its report to the new executive committee of the Dominican Fencing Federation (FEDOMES), headed by Gilberto Soriano Román. Major General Pilot (r) Elvis Marcelino Feliz Pérez, who led the commission, detailed the technical and administrative work carried out to Soriano Román. The main objective was to ensure the continuity of preparations for the participation of Dominican fencing in the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games 2026, which will be held in the country from July 24 to August 8. Happy Pérez highlighted the progress and actions taken during his management, focusing on maintaining the operability and technical development of national fencing.
For his part, Soriano Román thanked the COD for the designation of the commission, highlighting that this decision prioritizes the higher interest of sport and athletes. Soriano Román extended an invitation to Feliz Pérez to continue contributing his experience and leadership to FEDOMES, emphasizing that this collaboration is crucial for the strengthening of Dominican fencing. In the meeting were also present Gleni Samuel, Alodia Rodríguez, coaches Augusto García and Carlos Vega, and technical director Randal Hernández.Likewise, he expressed his gratitude for the treatment, consideration, and appreciation shown by the new executive committee of Fedomes towards the work carried out by the Commission appointed by the COD.
