Carrefour 10K: A Race with a Cause and Great Expectation
The twelfth edition of the 10K Carrefour race promises to be a major sporting event, with the participation of 3,500 runners. The start is scheduled for Sunday, April 26, marking the beginning of a day full of energy and commitment.
The enthusiasm for this race has been such that registrations sold out quickly, reaching the established limit. This reflects the growing interest and popularity of this sporting event.
The race will start at 7:00 in the morning from Downtown Center, located on Núñez de Cáceres Avenue corner Rómulo Betancourt. Runners will face a new route designed to challenge their limits, culminating at the finish line located on George Washington Avenue, at the height of Vista del Mar park.
The 10-kilometer route will include sections of Anacaona and Jiménez Moya avenues, taking participants to tour the emblematic malecón of Santo Domingo.Support for Social Causes
The 10K Carrefour race, in addition to being a sporting event, has a strong social component. It will support the work of the Friends Against Childhood Cancer Foundation, Inc. (FACCI) and the Oír para Vivir Foundation.
FACCI is a non-profit organization, founded by a group of volunteer friends, committed to developing activities focused on meeting the needs of comprehensive medical treatment for children and adolescents with cancer.
The Oír para Vivir Foundation, for its part, focuses on improving the quality of life of people with hearing disabilities, especially those in vulnerable conditions.Categories and Race Details
