Noah Lyles Cancels Duel with Tyreek Hill for Personal Reasons
The Olympic 100-meter champion, Noah Lyles, has canceled the expected face-off with Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, citing “personal reasons”. Hill had challenged Lyles to a 50-yard race days after the American sprinter won the gold medal in the 100 meters at the Paris Games last year. Lyles revealed that the race against Hill was scheduled for this weekend in Times Square, New York.Hill, known for his speed, had expressed confidence in beating Lyles, which generated an exchange of statements between both athletes. When Lyles won his fourth consecutive 60-meter indoor title in February, he displayed a provocative message: “Tyreek Could Never”. Hill, a two-time state track and field champion in high school, responded to Lyles by showing a sign that read “Noah Could Never”. Lyles mentioned that many, including potential sponsors, doubted the race against Hill would happen. We were very involved in creating the event. In fact, it was supposed to happen this weekend. Unfortunately, there were some complications, personal reasons why it just didn’t happen, but we were completely ready. We were going to close Times Square in New York and everything, it was going to be a lot of fun.

Many people didn’t believe it was true. They thought it was just, ‘Oh, they’re just talking online.’ Companies didn’t believe it was real.
