St. Louis Blues forward Robert Thomas, who is second on the team with 33 points, will be temporarily absent due to a personal matter. Doug Armstrong, president of hockey operations and general manager of the Blues, made the announcement on Wednesday.

It is expected that Thomas will return to the team on Friday. In 42 games, Thomas has accumulated 11 goals and 22 assists. He was placed on injured reserve on January 16 due to a lower-body injury and has yet to return. His last appearance in a game was on January 10 against the Vegas Golden Knights.
