SANTO DOMINGO, RD. – The Dominican Basketball Federation (Fedombal) has announced the pre-selection of 24 players to represent the country in the Second Qualifying Window for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027, which will be held in Qatar.
The president of Fedombal, Rafael Uribe, announced that from this list, the 12 players who will compete against the United States and Nicaragua in Group A of this qualifying phase will be selected.

The technical staff, led by Argentine coach Néstor “Ché” García, will evaluate the players during training to define the final squad that will defend the national colors in the upcoming commitments.
The matches are scheduled for February 26 and March 1.
The team’s preparation will begin this Thursday at the Olympic Center under the direction of the coaching staff.
Upcoming Matches
The first match will be on Thursday, February 26 against the United States at the Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California, at 11:10 p.m. (Dominican time).
The second match, against Nicaragua, will be played on Sunday, March 1st at the Alexis Argüello Sports Complex in Managua, at 9:30 p.m. (RD time).
